1. Service Description

Folio is a flight simulation logbook for Microsoft Flight Simulator 2024 (MSFS 2024) and X-Plane 12. It records flight telemetry, categorizes flight time, and provides landing analysis and debriefs.

Important: Folio is NOT a certified aviation tool and must NOT be used for real-world aviation logging or decision-making.

2. Account Registration

Users register via email (magic link) or passkeys. One account per person. You are responsible for your account security.

3. Subscription Tiers

  • Free: Local logbook, unlimited flights, no account needed.
  • First Officer ($4.99/mo): Cloud sync, landing analysis, trend tracking.
  • Captain ($8.99/mo): AI debrief, SimBrief integration, fleet/traveler analytics.

Billing is handled by Paddle. You can cancel anytime — your subscription runs to the end of the billing period.

4. Data Ownership

You own your flight data. You can export all data as CSV at any time from Settings. If you cancel your subscription, your local SQLite database continues to work. We do not claim any rights over your flight data.

5. Acceptable Use

Do not abuse the service. This includes but is not limited to: excessive API calls, reverse engineering, impersonation, or using the free tier to circumvent paid features.

6. Service Availability

Folio is provided on a best-effort basis. There is no guaranteed uptime SLA. We may perform maintenance with reasonable notice.

7. Limitation of Liability

Folio is provided "as is" for flight simulation entertainment purposes. We are not liable for data loss beyond reasonable backups. Our maximum liability is limited to the subscription fees you have paid in the last 12 months.

8. Intellectual Property

The Folio name, logo, and software are owned by Lux Civica. Your flight data remains yours.

9. Termination

You can delete your account at any time from Settings. We may terminate accounts for violation of these terms with 30 days notice.

10. Changes to Terms

We will notify you via email at least 30 days before any material changes take effect. Continued use of Folio after the notice period constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.

11. Governing Law

These terms are governed by the laws of Spain. Any disputes shall be resolved in the courts of Madrid.
